    Hello, Once you've interacted with the book, it should appear in your Special Cube. Only reading it from there will actually update the quest. Cheers!

    Hi, Ironically, even though the name is the same, the quest reward and the purchased item from the merchants are actually not the same item. To get your items back, you require a new Plain 1-Drawer Cabinet. See here: Hope it helps!
