"find a new one or get good" and "your favorite gunner." explains a lot. Gunners and gladi atm has so many free damage and free stats from the mentioned skill that "get good", more than sometimes, isn't even enough and that's the point of nerfing them. In a normal balanced game skills should win over gear and class, in this case the gunner class have an huge advantage by default. Just make a gunner full BM gear and play it, then try the same with any other class. You'll notice by yourself which one can still perform and which one will not.
