Server recovery in progress

Dear players,

We regret to inform you that the server will NOT be coming back online in the near future.

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the current situation. We are not shifting the blame or making excuses. Unfortunately, what happened was completely beyond our control.

What happened?

As we mentioned earlier, the server was shut down yesterday to carry out technical maintenance and hardware replacement at the data center.
According to their assurances, the work was supposed to take no more than 7 hours.

We prepared in advance and stayed online the entire time to respond quickly if needed. However, after the estimated time passed, we were told the work was still ongoing. This continued throughout the night.

We didn’t sleep, expecting to receive the server back in working condition at any moment. But that never happened.

At 13:00 (server time) today, we received an official message from technical support stating that:

• the works did not go as planned;

• all this time, we were not given real updates on the progress and received no clear information;

• and it turned out, the server became non-operational, and all data was lost.

If we had been informed right away that the disk had failed and recovery was impossible, we would have already reinstalled the system from scratch and restored the server from our backups.
Instead, we lost nearly a full day waiting, hoping to get the server back in working condition.

Current state

New hard drives are installed, and as of now, we have a completely empty server.
Even the operating system hasn’t been installed yet.
The supports promised to do it "soon" — but it is hard to say what exactly that means.

When will the server be back online?

At the moment, we don’t even have access to the server — it still hasn’t been handed over to us in working condition.
Once we get access, we’ll face a huge amount of manual work to rebuild the entire environment from scratch.

We are not ready to promise any specific timeframes, as we don’t want to mislead you.
But we can say with full confidence: the server will definitely not be back online today.

As for tomorrow — it’s still uncertain.
We will do our best to bring it back as quickly as possible, given the circumstances.

We have all the necessary backups of databases and game files.
No player progress will be lost — everything will be restored in full once the server is back online.

Temporary items, premium statuses, titles, and pets will be extended!

May I ask why you need this information?
If you're trying to ask support about it, they won’t tell you anything new.

Are we looking at a matter of days, weeks, or potentially longer?

Just trying to understand what to expect.

you missed the point. i did read the response, and i was just trying to confirm, everything will be restored. which also would include every single item a character has, be it from game content, be it from the shop 

Ofc i would imply everything is going to be restored, but hearing a confirmation would be good, for everyone reading this post.  As you can see on the support discord, many people ask this questions.

Could you clarify how big that workload really is — are we talking about days, weeks, or more?

As far as I understand, the server has been running for about 5 years, which is roughly the average lifespan of a private server.

Just a thought — something tells me that the manual restoration might take so long that you may decide to wipe and relaunch the server from scratch.
How accurate do you think my guess is?

let's hope everything is restored or people will leave if their effort building up characters/items/loots etc is gone.

All items that were on the characters at the time the server was turned off.

We are not going to reset the server. All data at the time of server shutdown is saved.

Just to clarify — do you mean that a backup was made right before the server was taken offline for the hardware replacement?
Or was it an automatic daily backup that just happened to be recent?

Just curious how up-to-date the saved data is. Thanks a lot!

Backup was made after server shutdown. All recent changes were saved.

Is it useful to push them on this matter, or is it more about just expressing frustration without expecting a concrete response?
In other words, if we do reach out, can we demand something specific from them, or will it be just venting?

I've asked to provide us orderId of euroaion request so they could provide us with details but as you can see they rejected it coz of confidential data..

Greetings, in addition to player data there are things like rewards from Tiamaranta, Moltenus, The Tatar Shield, Rhunatorium, Lucky Wings, double weekend rates and all the original Euroaion content that is not part of the official version. Was all this also saved?
