In short, magic classes use Magic Boost, and physical classes use crit strike until you reach the cap and then attack.
In more detail, it really depends on your class and whether you are going for PvE or PvP. But it's a long explanation and if you are just starting out with the game, don't worry about it and just use the ones in the first sentence depending on your class. The current caps in PvE at 65 are around 3700 MB for magic classes and 1100 crit strike for physical classes.

where from do you take the 3,7k MB cap? as far as I remember MB cap in 4.5 was 4235 in PVe on Hyperion or if the cap was already increased even 100 more? but im not 100% sure - you have a reliable souce?

Just checked out Hyperin has 1335 mSupp, Grendal 1150mSupp - but did not found the flat mBoostcap. As far as I remember ist was 2700 on 4.0 and 3200 on 4.9 - so cap must be at least 4035 in PVE
