  1. Surt and his Elyos counterpart Jamanok turn into a different kind of NPC (Legendary guard) when the Dimensional Vortex into Brusthonin/Theobomos is open. If you happen to be questing at a time like this, sadly you just have to wait for the invasion to be over. After the Dimensional Vortex closes they will revert to their regular forms and assume their original positions.

  2. The item NPC_BeritraInstancedDungeon_Shield_01 that has recently been added to the store displays in game properly, but it cannot be used to remodel anything.
I'll happily keep the item (I love it!) but I feel like you should point it our or try to fix it because some people might get upset when they find out it cannot in fact be used as a skin. :)

  3. Agree on that point as well. I am actually impressed by the new Elyos siege leader (Good job!), but it's tough when a mass xform call comes and you get maybe 3-4 people reacting to it instead of 50+ that it should be. If you are holding a high rank, you are the backbone of your faction at siege. I also do not like the call sometimes, and maybe I would prefer to use my form somewhere else for more credit, but if we do not unite and do not listen to calls we are never going to get back up from the dust. He calls for RG and half of the already small league is hanging back at our fortress, waiting to leech AP or get credit from attacking asmodians.

  4. Almost 1 month later and the situation is just getting worse. People are leaving every day, and the Asmodians clearly show that they are toying with us by this point. They can absolutely crush us anytime they set their minds to it. We are starting to have problems even assembling enough people to take any fortress at all on sieges. I am not sure what can be done about it, but the stress on the Elyos side is showing in all other parts of the game as well, not just the sieges.

  5. It is RNG as every other system in Aion but you can still help yourself by using the stones in the proper range for a particular item. You can of course get lucky and succeed at enchanting Hyperion gear even with lvl 70 stones (I even got 3 levels at once with a 68 one time), but the chance of success increases when you use a higher level stone. That does not mean you will succeed though. Even with 90% success rate there is still a possibility for failure.

  6. You are sure throwing a lot of crap around for a person who is both extremely insignificant for the server and very, very bad at the game. You should be glad somebody even invites you to groups, lmao.

    • Haha 1

  7. The general rule for enchanting is this:
For maximum success rate without supplements, you need to use an enchantment stone that is : 30 levels above item level for fabled items, 40 levels above item level for eternal items and 50 levels above item level for mythical items. That means that for Bloodmark gear, you will reach the maximum enchanting chance without supplements with l105 stones, and for hyperion gear its l115 stones. This applies all the way up to +10. After +10, the success chance decreases, but you still want to use stones in the required level range.

  8. Some people left for other servers, some people simply stopped playing because they are demoralized. The mood on the Elyos side is not great at the moment, but it goes up and down all the time. I think people are too focused on sieges and they forget that there is much more to the game than that. I understand that losing sieges constantly can be frustrating, but a few months back, the roles were reversed. There is a lot of bad blood on the Elyos side at the moment and the language barriers certainly do not help either. There are no real faction wide plans for siege, and it shows.

  9. Hello,
There are shugos which buy abyss equipment at various locations, but they only buy equipment of lvl 40 and higher.
If your faction owns Krotan, Kysis or Miren, you can find a shugo there who will buy your AP items.
There is also such a shugo in the Sillus fortress.
There is also such a shugo in Idian Depths, in the bottom left part of the map (the ide mine area)

  10. Hello,
let me answer those questions from a bit of a more pessimistic perspective, coming from someone who played on many other private servers in the past which I will not name for obvious reasons. But it was 10 or more servers over the years, and of course I played for many years on retail too.

    What is the playerbase like?
As far as numbers go, I would say realistically you get around 200 people on either side who are actively playing during the peak hours of the server. In the mornings and late night, the server is pretty empty. You have to take into consideration though that many of these people do not speak English, as this server is suffering from the same problem as European retail - too much focus on too many different language groups. You will find coordination with other people very difficult. There is also the added problem of the Russian following and focus of this server, just like the one that was here before this one, and other Russian servers with high population. Yes, this is an European server, or atleast targeted at Europe, but you will find that the Russian community is much more organized than the English (resp. international) one. For example, on the Elyos side, we have 2 bastion static alliances of Russians, and 1 that is German/International, but no English ones. I am not sure how things look on the Asmo side, as I decided surprisingly to roll Elyos this time around.
I have nothing against Russians, a lot of them are very kind and good players, but the language barrier is something you just cannot overlook. But the only way we can build an English community is with more new players coming to the server!

    What are the rates?
Pretty much retail-like. But both enchanting and socketing are made harder by the general lack of population which leads to a lack of resources on the broker. On retail, burning through a stack of 200 manastones was not much of an issue, as they were abundant and cheap due to many people (and bots) farming. Here, manastones are precious and rare, and so are enchant stones. You can definitely do it, just be prepared to farm a lot of stuff yourself.

    Are instances being run?
Again, that depends on the time, the instance, and how many languages you can speak. The basic stuff like Sauro, barracks...is being run every day by many people. Advanced instances like Infinity Shard and Eternal Bastion are mainly done inside legions, and LFG alliances can often fail. But this will also eventually get better in my opinion, as more and more people come to join us on the server.

If you decide to join the Elyos and need any help, feel free to contact me, I will try to help if I can.

  11. Spoiler

Throughout the Christmas Season, we should think mainly of the children. They are the ones who keep the magic alive...
    3eLMftO.jpg

But we also should not forget about the animals. Snow turns Oriel into a winter wonderland, but it also makes it harder for the local Elrocos and Qooqoos to find food. So please, help them out by hiding some seeds and nuts in the snow.

When all your good deeds are done, its time to head back to the safety of your home, and relax in the heat of your hearth. Don't forget to hang your stockings!

  12. For the Dark Cloudy Merchants daily quest http://aiondatabase.net/us/quest/39505/, the player is supposed to kill Macori and Spirits until a Black Cloud Surveillance orb appears, which the player can then activate to complete the quest. However, either the chance of spawning the orb is way too low, or it does not spawn at all. I've killed closed to a hundred of the specified monsters, but the orb did not spawn yet. Please check. Thank you.

  13. If you are just focused on reaching level 65 as fast as possible, I recommend doing the following.

1-9 - Just kill mobs. It's very fast with the gift weapons you get at the start of the game, and you can always come back to do some individual campaigns you will need for later progress.

10-19 - Head to Verteron/Altgard and follow campaign quests. Nothing else should be required. At lvl 16 you can look for a dark blue quest to enter Haramel and clean it once to get the quests out of the way and get some extra XP, but it is not required.

20-25 - Switch to Eltnen/Morheim and do all campaign quests that are available to you. If you find yourself lacking XP, just do any light blue quests you want (whichever ones you pick is up to you)

25 - Pick up the dark blue quest for Nochsana Training Camp in Eltnen/Morheim, as well as all 3 light blue quests offered by the new Nochsana NPCs. Find someone to hold group for you and head inside Nochsana. Clean the entire instance and complete the quests. This should push you to level 27.

27-35 - Keep following campaign quests. Do your Abyss entry quests and try to get your Abyss campaigns completed as well. You should have an abundance of yellow quests that will take you straight to 35, but if not, fill it in with blues.

35-45 - Head inside Aetherogenics Lab (if Elyos) or Alquimia Research Lab (if Asmodian). Clean the entire instance. This should give you atleast a level or two. After that, do your campaigns. If you find yourself lacking campaigns, head inside AL/ALR again for one more clear. Do not use any XP amulets yet.

45-50/51- Do your Theobomos/Brusthonin campaigns, then pick up the quests for Adma/Theo Lab (depending on which faction you play as, you want to get the opposite, aka. asmos into Theo Lab and elyos into Adma Stronghold) and head inside the dungeon. There is no need to full clean it - just do the repeatable quests and get out. Do these quests all 5 times. This should get you to 50. If not, finish off with grinding mobs inside Adma/Theo or do blue quests in Brusthonin.

Don't forget to take your pink (growth) quests and complete them while leveling. These will reward you with very good rewards such as manastones, a godstone, golden stigmas and other useful items.

50-53 - Do campaigns in Inggisson/Gelkmaros until you get to Taloc's Hollow. Get your stigma quest done while running Taloc. Get to 53 by doing any leftover campaigns and if that is not enough, do blue quests.

53-63 - Head to Beshmundir Temple. You will need to solo or duo this, depending on your class. Keep farming Beshmundir Temple normal mode. Use any XP amulets you have available. The white, green and blue items you get as drops here should make up for the price of reset scrolls and potions you will need.

63-65 - Do all your Sarpan, Tiamaranta, Katalam and Danaria campaigns. If not 65 yet, you can do Blood Mark/Battle Medal weekly quests in Katalam and Danaria camps to finish off.
