Hello, here are some real stats from the past week for example by me: As you can see, in 10h i have roghly 1700 live views with 34 avg viewers, which means around 170 live views per hour of streaming with 34 avg viewers. You can check the live views people are making by checking their vod a day later. There are several people that have 10-20 avg viewers at best and make 500-1000 live views per hour. This is by factor 5 or more than what i am doing per hour while they have much less avg viewers. Its obvious they are using page refrsher for more coins.. Here are my statistics from whole march 2023: You can see that its again roughly 180 views per hour with 30 avg viewers (11910 live views / 66h time streamed).

Your explanation does not seem logical to me tho, since what is needed in the end is just the data of an up to date backup. The hosting of this data can then be done at any other provider which was even said by the staff before. So it does not make much sense for me that an up to date backup service from one of the biggest datacenters is not able to transfer the small amount of datas that the aion server generates compared to up to date applications and other stuff than games, which need a lot of more data.

True, one major principle of IT is that backups on a different location NEVER make sense.

@TheAlmighty If you had the backup service enabled, it might actually be possible to commit further legal actions against OVH, because it clearly says on their homepage regarding the "Zerto" backup technology, that in case of technical failure in the primary OVH datacenter, the service will continue to be hosted in ANOTHER OVH datacenter.

I think many people would already be satisfied if the admin team made some kind of excuse post, because they were earning thousands of dollars (the exact number doesn't matter) but did not spend 35 of them monthly for a permanent backup in another datacenter of OVH. This is a major mistake and I do not want to point the finger at someone, so if there is a proper excuse in the future, me and many other people would accept it and look forward I think. But as long as people act like nothing could have prevented this and it would be impossible to be prepared, I feel like getting ripped off, especially after having brought hundreds or even thousands of players on this server with my streams.

Yea, they were shut down but then went back up again. I saw it on the server status side. However, he just tweetet 1 min ago that they will keep SBG 1 +4 down this night and restart them tomorrow afternoon so I have no idea what's going on now.

SBG 4 is completely up now although the official ETA from yesterday was 22nd march and the one for SBG 3 was 19th march. SBG 1 has 60 from roundabout 180 racks up, which can probably be done today or tomorrow if they continue to work on weekends. However, SBG 3 has more than 500 racks and some of them are up already. Since SBG 4 is finished and only 120 racks from SBG 1 are missing right now, their full workforce will be concentrated on SBG 3 from tomorrow on (assuming they get the last racks from SBG 1 up today or tomorrow). That means that EA might be already up tomorrow if we are lucky but could also be up tuesday or wednesday (assuming that those 500-600 racks in SBG 3 will be fully up at tuesday or wednesday).

What you said just goes for SBG 4. SBG 3 will gradually start on 19th according to their updated plan from today, which is where euroaion is located. So it might go online on Friday or later, depending on which floor/rack euroaion is within SBG 3.

He said in SBG3 floors 1-3 are allright and only floor 4-5 faces some problems. So it depends in floor EA is. But from the calendar it says that tomorrow, SBG 1, 3 and 4 can be started but he said that he has to wait with it because the insurance does not allow it yet. It seems to me like it could be actually up sooner than the 22rd .

Since some ppl argue from the server's owners perspective of view, not the perspective of a player although they are players ( i suppose), it is even more stupid. No donations can be done at the moment and the downtime will atleast be 1 week to 3 weeks at a maximum I guess. The money that is lost in this time by the donations that are not occuring now is arguably higher than the money they would have paid for some kind of almost up to date backup at another location. The donations that have not been conducted in the current downtime will also not be compensated by more donations when the server is up again, as money donations just occur because of ingame activies like instance rollback scrolls or augments, which obviously is not happening right now. However, judging from the posts I have read here, I don't expect to be understood here as far as opportunity costs go, which I explained before. @bosu There is no appropiate reaction to what you wrote, although I feel personally attacked by you and have to refer what a staff member posted earlier: "Dear players! Let's be polite to each other, or we will have to start banning and muting instead of just giving the warnings!"

This is totally clear to me as well as to Bladegunner. What I pointed out is, that the backup is useless anyway since it is so old that it is not going to be used (as it is the case now) and therefore a different security approach should be used. I hope you understand what I mean.

Is there not a possibility to run a second server in a different location which can run independently from the first one? If it is dependent on the first one, there is no sense in running it in the first place anyway. Same with the backup. If there just is a 7 days old backup once the main server is destroyed/cut off and you are not going to use it anyway, you dont need it either way because there is no scenario in which it would be useful.
